Creative Education Program Enhances Student’s Entrepreneurial Skills and Financial Independence.
Citi Peka and Hope Worldwide Indonesia announce 10 most creative teachers for Citi Success Fund 2010 program.
Jakarta - Citi Success Fund announces 10 best programs for CSF 2010 in Jabodetabek, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan and Denpasar area. Their programs were considered successful as they are able to fostering students’ entrepreneurial skills and achieving their financial independence.

In Indonesia, the number of labor force continues to increase each year. Based on the available data of Central Bureau of Statistics reported in the Statistics Official Gazette No. 33/05/Th.XIII, May 10, 2010, number of labor force in February 2010 reaches 116 million of people, or increased by 2,26 million as compared to 113,74million in February 2009. This situation has raised CSF concern to then make a contribution in education sector especially for high school in order to improve students’ entrepreneurial skills.

"Entrepreneurship and Financial Independence was selected as the 2010 topic since we have seen big potential in introducing and developing the knowledge of entrepreneurship and financial independence in the school environment," said Ditta Amahorseya, Director - Country Corporate Affairs Head, Citi Indonesia,

Tigor Siahaan, Country Business Manager Citi Indonesia said "we hope that the best teachers selected will continue to develop their creativity and be role models for other teachers as well as the schools so they would pioneer innovative, creative and inspiring methods to generate more young entrepreneurs in the coming future."

CSF is one of Citi Indonesia’s community initiatives that are rolled out through Citi Indonesia citizenship flagship, Citi Peka in collaboration with Hope Foundation Indonesia by providing financial assistance to high school teachers to develop proposal of teaching materials on entrepreneurship and financial independence. Every year CSF encourages high school teachers to be innovative in creating learning materials for students and provides grants for the selected proposals to be executed. 

After going through a rigorous selections of 85 grantees, ten teachers with the best activities have been selected by Citi Success Fund 2010 to receive cash prize of Rp.3,500,000,- and Laptop worth of Rp.4,000,000,- for the teacher as well as laptop worth of Rp.7,500,000 for the schools.

Besides, www.aksiguru.org, CSF program can also be accessed through social networks, namely Facebook (www.facebook.com / aksiguru) and Twitter (@ AksiGuru). Since it was launched in 2009, these online facilities have helped many teachers to share methods, materials and teaching ideas to help their students comprehend their school course materials. Up to now, as many as 8331 people have accessed AksiGuru blog while AksiGuru facebook account has acquired 1465 fans.
