Benefits:

If customer is diagnosed with Early Stage Cancer, then:
• 20% of Sum Assured (SA) will be paid.

If customer is diagnosed with Major Stage Cancer, then:
• 100% of Sum Assured (SA) deducted by the Early Cancer Benefit that has been paid (if any) will be paid.

If customer diagnosed with Early Stage Cancer, then:
• The customer will be waived from the obligation of premium payment from the following month.

If customer dies from any cause, then:
• The customer will receive 100% of the total premium has been paid (only if the Major Cancer Benefit has not been paid).

Maximal Coverage
Each customer shall only have 1 AIA Cancer Care Policy. If the customer has more than 1 policy, then the benefits will be paid from the first policy submission which is approved and issued. Whereas, for the other policies will be terminated and all of the premium that has been paid will be returned to the customer.
Notes:

*Once this benefit has been paid, the Policy will be terminated.
**No Claim Bonus will be paid if the customer renews the Policy for the following year.

Policy Termination The Policy shall automatically terminate if:
a) The Insured dies during the Insurance Period;
b) The Insurance Period ends;
c) Major Cancer Benefit has been paid;
d) Premium has not been fully paid after the Grace Period; or
e) You apply for termination of the Policy in writing and recorded to us whichever earlier.

Early Cancer Benefit and Major Cancer Benefit:


  1. Claim Form that has been filled correctly and completely.
  2. Claim Form that has been filled correctly and completely by the Doctor;
  3. Photocopy of valid Identity Card valid identity card of the Insured, the Appointed and Beneficiary (if the Appointed in absence) and the attorney (if authorized);
  4. Original Power of Attorney issued by the Proposing Party (if authorized);
  5. Resume of medical report during confinement in a Hospital;
  6. Photocopied receipts for details of bills from the Hospital;
  7. Doctor's referral letter for Treatment and treatment to a specialist, diagnostic support and physiotherapy (if any);
  8. Copies of diagnostic investigation results and prescribed copies relating to Treatment; and
  9. Any other documents that we deem necessary in relation to the Insurance Benefit payment request.

Death Benefit:

  1. Original Policy (if issued by Insurer);
  2. Photocopy of valid identity card of the Insured, the Appointed and Beneficiary (if the Appointed in absence) and the attorney (if authorized);
  3. Original Power of Attorney from the Proposing Party (if authorized);
  4. Original Death Benefit Claim Form that has been filled in correctly and completely;
  5. Original Death Benefit Claim Form that has been completed and correctly by the Doctor;
  6. Photocopy of the Family Card of Policyholder, the Insured, the Appointed and Beneficiary (if the Appointed in absence);
  7. Original Death Certificate issued by the competent authority;
  8. Original Certificate of visum et repertum/ autopsy by the legitimate and competent Doctor or Hospital, if dies due to accident;
  9. Original Certificate from Police Department if dies due to Accident;
  10. Original Death Certificate issued by the Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia, if the Insured dies abroad; and
  11. Other documents that We deem necessary in respect of the request for the Insurance Benefit.

No Claim Bonus:

  1. Original Claim Form Insurance Benefit which has been filled correctly and completed by Policyholder.
  2. Photocopy of valid Identity Card of Policyholder and the claim applicant; and
  3. Original Policy (if issued by Insurer), exclusively for the no claim bonus at the end of the 10th Policy Year.

Notes

  • The documents for requesting the payment of insurance benefits as specified above shall be submitted no later than 90 (ninety) calendar days for Early Cancer Benefit, Major Cancer Benefit and Death Benefit.
  • The Insurance Benefit payment will be made if all the required documents have been received completely and correctly by the Insurer.
Exclusions

Insurer will not pay the Early Cancer Benefit and Major Cancer Benefit if the Insured suffers Cancer caused by:

  • Cancer in which the first diagnosis, signs and/or symptoms starts to occur or happen during the Waiting Period; before Policy Effective date or Reinstatement date;
  • Occasioned or contributed to by Human Immunodifiency Virus (HIV) infection and/or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) related conditions;
  • Pre Existing Condition; or
  • Diseases that are not included in the definition of Cancer Illness in the Appendix of Policy AIA Cancer Care

Insurer will not pay the Death Benefit if the Insured dies during the Insurance Period due to:

  • Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), AIDS Related Complex or Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection;
  • Insurance crime committed by the party(ies) who has/have or jointly having interest in this insurance protection;
  • Deliberately attempting to injure him/herself or committing suicide or other acts towards the similar purpose of suicide in the period of 2 (two) years as from the Effective Date of Policy; or
  • Deliberately doing or participating in a brawl, crime/law violation, or an attempted crime/law violation, actively or not.

  • In the event of insurance benefit claim rejection, then Citibank has no obligation to explain the respective claim rejection reason. If the Insured does not agree to the terms and conditions as specified in the Policy for any reasons whatsoever, the coverage can be cancelled within 30 (thirty) days since the Policy issue date (“Free Look Period”). In such case, the Policy shall automatically become ineffective from the Effective Date of the Policy and there is no insurance protection shall become Insurer’s obligation to the Insured.
  • Insured will be exposed to the credit risk of insurance company, which means the insurance Policy involves risks, in which there is possibility that insurance companies is not financially capable to pay the payable money as stated in Policy document. PT AIA FINANCIAL have been successfully maintaining its financial performance to exceed the capital adequacy standard determined by the Government.
  • PT AIA FINANCIAL’s Insurance products offered through the marketing agreement between Citibank with PT AIA FINANCIAL as the Insurer and has been reported and/or receive affirmation letter and/or approval from Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) and related authority.
  • Citibank N.A., Indonesia and PT AIA Financial are licensed and supervised by the Indonesia Financial Service Authority (OJK).
