Information regarding Citi Credit Card Terms and Conditions update

Dear Citi Credit Card holders,

There will be an update on your Citi Credit Card Terms and Conditions in point 6.1 regarding eStatement as below:

6.1 Citibank will issue monthly eStatement that can be viewed or downloaded through Citi Mobile App or Citibank Online and sends notifications via email to the email address recorded in the Citibank administration system when the eStatement is available.

For Customers who are not been able to view the billing statement through the Citi Mobile App or Citibank Online, Citibank will send the eStatement by post or other media to the cardholder’s address recorded in the Citibank administration system including if the customer chooses to receive the Billing Sheet with the desired method and recorded at Citibank system.

Temporary Adjustment Cash Withdrawal Limit through Chip-Technology ATM

Bank Indonesia menetapkan penyesuaian sementara batas maksimal nilai nominal dana untuk penarikan tunai melalui mesin ATM yang menggunakan teknologi chip, berlaku sejak tanggal 12 Juli 2021 sampai dengan 30 September 2021. Hal ini dilakukan dalam rangka mendukung kebijakan Pemerintah terkait Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) Darurat guna menekan laju COVID-19. Adapun detail penyesuaian batas penarikan tunai tersebut adalah sebagai berikut:

  1. Menaikkan batas maksimal nilai nominal dana untuk penarikan tunai melalui mesin ATM dari Rp15.000.000,00 (lima belas juta rupiah) menjadi Rp20.000.000,00 (dua puluh juta rupiah) tiap rekening dalam 1 (satu) hari untuk kartu ATM yang menggunakan teknologi chip.
  2. Kenaikan batas maksimal nilai nominal dana untuk penarikan tunai menggunakan kartu ATM dengan teknologi chip pada butir 1 hanya berlaku untuk mesin ATM dengan teknologi chip. Dalam hal ini BI telah menghimbau bank untuk mempublikasikan kepada masyarakat daftar lokasi ATM yang dapat melakukan penarikan tunai dengan limit baru.

Selanjutnya, guna menjaga dan menjalankan keberlangsungan pelaksanaan tugas dan layanan publik yang mengedepankan keamanan dan keselamatan masyarakat, BI terus melakukan koordinasi dan sinergi dengan Pemerintah dan otoritas terkait termasuk asosiasi industri dalam menempuh langkah-langkah kolektif untuk melakukan pemantauan, asesmen, pencegahan, dan mitigasi implikasi penyebaran Covid-19.

BI mengajak masyarakat untuk senantiasa menerapkan protokol kesehatan dengan memberlakukan 6M, yaitu memakai masker, mencuci tangan, menjaga jarak, menjauhi kerumunan, membatasi mobilitas, dan menghindari makan bersama. Serta menggunakan pembayaran nontunai/QR Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS).

Changes to the Terms and Conditions for the Citibank Debit Card

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for choosing Citibank, N.A., Indonesia as your banking partner.

Effective July 18th 2021, there are changes to the Terms and Conditions for Citibank Debit Card. Latest addition to the Terms and Conditions may be found below.

  1. Debit cardholder can authorize another party to debit your Citibank Debit Card Account using your Card number and expiry date. This is called a Recurring Card Instruction.
  2. In the event that Cardholder has provided Recurring Card Instructions to a merchant or service provider, Cardholder will need to contact merchant or service provider to request a cancellation. It is suggested that Cardholder perform this at least fifteen calendar days prior to the next scheduled payment. Until Cardholder cancels his/her authority, the merchant or service provider has the right to request Citibank to debit the Debit Card and Citibank is obliged to process this request.
  3. After cancellation, Cardholder is responsible for reinstating any Recurring Card Instructions.
  4. Please retain a copy of any Recurring Card Instruction request to make future changes or cancellations to a merchant or a service provider. Cardholder may challenge a transaction if a merchant or a service provider has not acted in accordance with Cardholder’s instructions.
  5. If the Debit Card number is changed, for example as a result of a lost or renewal or replacement of a card, Cardholder must contact the merchant or service provider to cancel or change the details of any Recurring Card Instructions. Unless Cardholder has cancelled or changed the details, Cardholder authorizes Citibank to:
    1. Provide Cardholder’s replacement Card details to update the instructions.
    2. Apply the Recurring Card Instruction to the new Card. Therefore, Cardholder’s account will continue to be debited in accordance with the existing instruction using the new Card number and expiry date, unless Cardholder opt out of this feature by contacting CitiPhone Banking at (021) 2529999 or 1500-335.
  6. Before each Recurring Card Instruction, Cardholder must ensure that there is available fund under the Card Account to enable the payment to be made.
  7. Citibank may refuse to act on any Recurring Card Instruction or any request to set up, change or cancel a Recurring Card Instruction if there is a dispute between Cardholder and the merchant or service provider.

    - Penyampaian LBUT dan laporan existing secara paralel (parallel run) diperpanjang sampai dengan data akhir Desember 2021, sehingga implementasi LBUT secara penuh dilakukan sejak data Januari 2022;
    - Pemberitahuan tertulis bagi bank yang terlambat dan tidak menyampaikan laporan yang berlaku di periode parallel run diperpanjang sampai dengan data akhir Desember 2021.

  2. Untuk laporan lainnya, batas waktu pelaporan pada periode pandemi Covid-19 tetap mengikuti batas waktu pelaporan yang berlaku saat ini.

Untuk itu, diharapkan agar industri keuangan termasuk Penyedia Jasa Pembayaran (PJP) dan Penyelenggara Infrastruktur Sistem Pembayaran (PIP) dapat segera melakukan persiapan sistem dan kegiatan operasional yang diperlukan. Selanjutnya, guna menjaga dan menjalankan keberlangsungan pelaksanaan tugas dan layanan publik yang mengedepankan keamanan dan keselamatan masyarakat, BI terus melakukan koordinasi dan sinergi dengan Pemerintah dan otoritas terkait dalam menempuh langkah-langkah kolektif untuk melakukan pemantauan, asesmen, pencegahan dan mitigasi implikasi penyebaran Covid-19.

Important Information on Citi Credit Card Interest Rate, Late Fee

Dear Valued Citi Credit Cardholders,

As per BI regulation, the following changes to Citi Credit Card will be effective starting 1 Jul 2021:

Retail and cash advance interest will become 1.75% per month or 21% per year

Late fee of 1% from Total Balance, maximum IDR 100,000 is extended until 31 Dec 2021

Please ensure payment of at least Minimum Amount Due is done before Payment Due Date and payment must be posted to credit card at the latest on the Payment Due Date to avoid late fee charges.

Bank Indonesia Regulation No 19/10/PADG/2017- Issuance of National Logo Debit Card as part of National Payment Gateway program.

On Dec 4th, 2017, Bank Indonesia has implemented National Payment Gateway (NPG) system to support transaction payment process in Indonesia.

The NPG system integrates all payment channels processing that facilitate electronic transaction and ensures the transactions occurring in Indonesia domain are processed domestically. Under the NPG scheme and referring to Article 43 of the Board of Governor Regulation No. 19 / 10 / PADG / 2017 dated September 20, 2017 a National logo debit card will be launched as part of National Branding initiative and to further support domestic transaction using NPG system

Citibank will support the issuance of National Logo Debit Card as part of National Payment Gateway scheme led by Bank Indonesia.

The National Logo debit card facilitates interoperability, interconnectedness, supports national sovereignty and makes domestic transactions safe and efficient.

Changes on Backup Withholding Tax Rate for U.S. Person

Dear Valued Customer,

Starting January 2018, in accordance with IRS (Internal Revenue Services) provision, there is a change on backup withholding rate for U.S. Person from 28% to 24%. U S Person that will be a subject to this backup withholding is US person who fulfilling one of these conditions :

  • The U.S. person has not provided its TIN in the manner required,
  • The IRS notifies you that the TIN furnished by the payee is incorrect,
  • The U.S. person has not submitted FATCA supporting document

In order to avoid this backup withholding tax above, U.S. Person are expected to complete the W-9 form correctly and completely. An example of the W9 form can be found at http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/index.html.

Notification on Bilyet Giro Provisions

Dear Valued Customer,

Effective April 1, 2017 in accordance with Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 18/41 / PBI / 2016 there are some changes in the provisions of Bilyet Giro as follows:

  • 1. The validity period of New Bilyet Giro is 70 days from the withdrawal date.
  • 2. The old format of Bilyet Giro with withdrawal date before April, 1 2017 may still be used and valid until December 31, 2017 with the validity of period is 70 days and 6 months.
  • 3. Bilyet Giro with old format and the date of withdrawal is on April 1, 2017 and onwards, shall adhere the validity period of 70 days from the withdrawal date.
  • 4. Maximum Warkat Debit value for Bilyet Giro through SKNBI is amount to Rp500,000,000, - (five hundred million rupiah).

Monitoring of Foreign Exchange Movement between Bank and Customer

Pursuant to the Bank Indonesia Circular Letter No 18/23/DSta/2016 regarding: Monitoring of Foreign Exchange Movement between Bank and Customer, hence bank is required to regulate any outgoing overseas transaction with value above USD100,000 or equivalent. For this transaction, Customer must complete Foreign Exchange Payment-Receipts Activities Monitoring form and submit relevant underlying documents* related to the outgoing overseas transaction.
This regulation is effective starting 7 November 2016.

* Supporting document is relevant document that contain information related to the purpose of the Outgoing Transfer: Invoice, Purchase Order, Agreement, Proof of Payment, Statement Letter etc as stated in Bank Indonesia’s circulation letter.

  • 2. After that, send the latest copy of ID/Tax ID (NPWP)/Income Data and Citi Credit Card number via fax to (021) 5794 7598 or via e-mail to edocument@citi.com with subject : Data Update.
  • 3. It is important to note that the income and Tax ID (NPWP) data updating are also required to increase the limit in Credit / Credit Limit Combined
  • 4. If there is no notification on the update of personal data, employment and Tax ID (NPWP) within 5 business days since document is received; personal data, employment and Tax ID (NPWP) that currently recorded in Citibank internal system considered as accurate and no change
  • 5. Report immediately in case of lost and/or stolen card to the Banking service.
  • 6. Make sure address listed is the correct address complete with postal code. If there is any changes of address, please contact Banking service.
  • 7. If you have not received your billing statement in 7 days before the due date, please contact Banking Service.

Referring to Circular Letter of Bank Indonesia No. 15/21/DPNP as of 2013 on the Implementation of Anti Money Laundering and Prevention of Terrorism Financing Programs for Commercial Banks, Banks must decline transaction, cancel transaction and/or close your Card if customers refuse to update the data.

Obligation to Use Rupiah in Indonesia
